How do I go from two burned dvds to one?

I authored my first cds with DVD Fab and burned them on two cds...this before discovering DVD shrink. Now I would like to transfer them to one cd for convenience. How would I go about this?

perhaps I didn't state it clearly. I have two dvd discs containing one movie that I would like to compress and burn onto one dvd disc. Is it possible?

How so is you say CD one time and DVD another.
A CD is a 650-700mb disk a DVD is 4.7gigs. BIG difference!! Though I have been seeing DVDs sometimes reffered to as CDs which is not correct most of the time. Perhaps it's common in other coutries though?

Is it possible - YES

Rip both DVD , Open DVD Shrink and click the "Re-author" icon . Navigate to the folder(s) where you saved each DVD. Drag the title you want over . Repeat the same process for each title. Click "Backup" .

You can do it with DvdReMake Pro. Here is the guide: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge1.php

This way you can keep everything (if you choose to): menus, movie, extras.

just rip the original round plastic disc (I don't care what it is but it's obvious what it is so I won't make a fuss :P) again is the simplest answer

DVDFab, (which only split DVD's anyway so why people got excited that he may be taking about CD's is beyond me but whatever. A little common sense would have answered the question :P) will have messed up the IFO's a little and reconstructing it to the original state may take some time and effort depending on the complexity of the original

I am the King of the Universe or at least of the DVD backup world and if you know everything then it isn't confusing at all

if you didn't know about DVDFab then why post as Zippy P. post was quite clear enough as to whether it was CD's or DVD's

I was also Sherlock for a moment as I thought it's a DVDtoDVDR forum and he's talking about DVDFab & DVDShrink so it's got to be DVD's and it's probably a simple mistake

I guess I accept that a CD and DVD are probably the same thing to 90% of the population in real life and masterpeg probably ain't a veteran DVD backupper either

Ok...lets say for the record "I'm a complete idiot" " I can't tell the difference between a cd and dvd". I can live with that. Now that some of your suspicions have been verified, If you haven't figured it out by now, I am dealing with dvds.....thus the thread residing in the dvd to dvd-r forum.

I tried ripping with dvdfab and dvd decrypt then using dvd shrink, but it doesn't see any of the ripped files. I'm starting to think that is the wrong road. Dvd shrink would be my prefered method (since I have it), so if its possible could you tell me specifically how you would do it....or link me to a tutorial that explains how to do what I am trying to do?

if you are not bothered about losing menus and don't mind a little skip between the join then you can just use DVDShrink. Use the guide that was linked earlier in the thread

if you want to keep original menu's then it's a little more complicated as the IFO's will have been changed when you split the DVD. That's why it's best to use something like DVDRemake or PGCEdit to join the split PGC's as they will also correct the IFO's

have you tried nerovision express 2..i added vob files from my friends dvd and i combined it with my vob files i made from a homemade dvd and merged the files together to make 1 giant dvd which nerovision easily compressed and made fit on a 4.7GB dvd..it goes like this
1.get NVE 2 and get the mpeg2 plugin
2.goto "make a dvd" option and add ALL .VOB files from 1st dvd
3.merge all the files together to make 1 video title(merge button on left)
4.repeat step 2 on 2nd dvd(can be done on the fly but much faster if file is already been decrypted with dvd decrypter as a video ts )
5.now with 2 seperate dvd files showing ,merge 1 more time to make 1 giant file and let nerovision automatically reduce the kb/s to make fit on a 4.7GB dvd
6.add all your fancy stuff to make it look good and then let it encode and burn...your done..hope this helps
