I use different consumer level video software to make DVD's using
DVD -R and +R. The problem is that using one software program creates a nonplayable DVD-R, but a DVD + R will play. Using the other 2 programs the DVD-R and +R will play without problems.
So my question is I guess I do not completely understaned the DVD burning process. Does the software burn code on the dvd to distinguish if it is a + or - disk or does the burner do it. What would be at fault here and why? Are the vob files written in code by just the software, the burner or both? Where could I find a simplified detailed explanation of the DVD buring process?
I have been trying to research this but am coming up dry. This is the best forum to look for help so here I am.
Thanks for the help and info
