  1. I have used DVD Author to combine 50 Karaoke songs (on VCD),
into one DVD. Each Song is on its own chapter and can be selected from the track menu. However the songs can be played OK if selected from the track menu, but if I play from beginning from start to finish, it
will freeze at some chapter point. e.g. after playing chapter 2, it will stay at the end of chapter 2. It will continue if you press fast forward or skip to next chapter, and then it will play some chapters and the stop again, e.g. this time after chapter 19.
I used Nero 6 latest revision to burn the DVD. DVD Author is at 1.5 version.
Appreciate any insight or help on this. Thanks!

  2. The freeze is actually after it jump from chapter 2 to chapter 3 and freeze there, I can see the chapter changes from 2 to 3, however the video is at end of chapter 2.

Anybody can put some sense to this?

I would avoid using Nero to author the DVD.

Use a proper authoring program to create the disk. Nero is not a proper authoring program, although I find Nero OK for burning the disk afterward.

Also, make sure you use good media to avoid read problems.

If you have created the disk by simply dropping track after track on to it, then chances are these are seperate titles, not chapters within a title. You will find that different players will move from title to title with varying pauses - some you wont notice, some will be longer. The only way to avoid this would be to put all the clips together and use real chapters.

  4. Hi, rickymwong said the Nero was used to burn not author DVD !
    The real question would be
what was set in "Action to take after..." in Menu display settings?
And of course, media could be a problem as well.
