  1. Greetings All,
I am trying to convert a dvd with AC3 menu track, and LPCM in the video to all AC3 or MPEG 2 audio track. The video is Jethro Tull 25th anniversity collection, the audio alone is over 900 MB!! If I use DVD shrink, it creates alot of macroblocks in the video. Please help!!

  2. Sorry I'm not clear of what you're saying. Does the DVD has both ac3 and LPCM tracks?

If it has both, just eliminate the LPCM track with DVDShrink.

If it only has LPCM track, do the following:

    1. Rip the DVD onto the HHD with DVDDecrypter.

    2. Open it with VOBEdit.

    3. De-mux ALL available tracks.

    4. Run the audio file in Besweet and convert to .ac3 or .pma or .mp2.

    5. Mux the original video file and the newly made audio file into MPEG and author with TmpgDVDAuthor.

  3. Sorry again, just re-read your post...

You'll probably have to use a program like DVD Remake if you want to keep the original menu after converted the audio of the main video.

  5. @johns0,
I don't think the guide you pointed is suitable for music videos.
Because when author with IFOEdit, you cannot have menus, and can have only one video track.

Since a music video DVD has numbers of tracks which you certainly want to have a chapter menu to point them to each track.

Author with TDA and create new menu with chapter points for each music segment.

Doesnt the guide keep the menu's cause all its doing is replacing the vobs with the converted vobs and then updating the dvd structure.

  7. @johns0,
Please accept my sincere apology. I had only scanned through the guide without reading all the steps. I certainly missed the IFOUpdate part.

  9. Greetings,
I followed the guide you linked me to, all went well execpt when I get to IFOUpdate I get a Error: The original IFO's PGC area is not large enough to hold the new PGC. Aborting

The original file has 15 chapters
Newly authored file has 32 chapters

I look at the original file and there is 32 chapters

The disc is Jethro Tull New Day Yesterday 25th Aniversity Collection 1969 to 1994

    Thanks
    Steve
