I have a ripped dvd on my hard drive that I downloaded. It's the uncompressed video (vobs, bups, ifos...). When I burn the dvd with Nero, and I play it on my tv's dvd player, its has subtitles in swedish or something. In the menu you can switch the subtitle language, but even when I select "none" it still has the subs. When I play the dvd on my dvdrom on my computer, it does not display the unwanted subs. These subs are the kind that the dvd player produces; they are not actually part of the video files. What files tell the dvd player what subs to display and is there a way to change or totally remove these subs and burn the dvd again?

Sure! Why don't you rip the DVD to your hard drive (in case you have deleted the previous files), then Open the DVD in DVD Shrink. Shrink will analyze the DVD, then display in the right pane a list of all subtitles in the disc. Uncheck the subtitles you want to delete, and click on Backup, to create another folder with the new DVD files. Burn it, and if you are lucky, you shouldnt see those subtitles again!
Hope this helps1My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.
