I created a dvd disk in encore and it works perfectly, but when you press fast forward button only can be at 2x, if you try 4x and 8 x it freezes....my dvd burner burns at 4x and the media disk is 4x too!!?!??!?

It means your disc wasnt burned very good and the dvd player can only read it at a max of 2x but can play it ok at 1x.Better media usually helps.Burn time has no bearing on how fast the dvd can be played.

My stand alone reads till 8x, DVD it discs burned all goes to 8x, thats very weird.... same discs, same burner, same stand alone, DVDit 8x/Encore 2x

Any one had problem with Encore“s playback vobs like me?????
see the problem is that encore is much better than DVDit, it has more options to make menus, and stuff, i love it, only this problme is making me sad....

It could be due to the different MPEG encoding between Encore and DVDit. I can't remember how much control you have over things like the GOP through the Encore program, but you can certainly change things like bitrate.
Are you using each program to do the encoding to MPEG? If so, try setting the Encore encoding parameters to be the same as the DVDit settings. -
All m2v and wav files made by main concept mpeg encoder via premiere pro...
