if I want to burn a low quality video that i find on the internet (divX file) on a DVD-VCD
What format shoud I convert the file into ?

If you want to make a VCD, it'll have to be a VCD-compliant MPEG-1.

So I need to convert it the same way I do for VCD ?
and then after only use these file to burn my dvd-vcd ? -
If you are burning a DVD it has to be DVD compliant. VCD format (352 X 240 mpg1 1130 kbs, I think) is acceptable for DVD but the audio has to be 48 instead of 44 whatevers (sorry I'm not good with details).
