with a sexy new powerbook. I got fed up with the shitty PC's they have here at my school in japan, so splurged and got the tricked out 12 incher. I am very proud of myself for destroying their whole computer system by downloading kazaa. They have spent nearly 4000 in repairmen to try and figure out what went wrong. hahahahahahaha. oh well, im back to help. and back working on my projects.

PS: if you come to japan...DONT GO TO HITA!

Moved to Off Topic forum. Please keep posts here on-subject. Thanks.

If you're such a veteran, you should have known that this is an Off Topic subject.Originally Posted by qshartle

Brilliant. Using an example of "I got away with this once, why pick on me now".Originally Posted by qshartle

Capmaster moved your thread because it was off-topic. I agree with this - the post had nothing to contribute to the Mac video forum.
There was no reason to attack him.
Please consider this an informal warning.

This is the reason that people are leaving. When you have people who fly off the handle for no reason and attck the mods on top of that, it gets a little hectic. Too many of my "heated debates" lately have turned into full-fledged (one-sided) flame wars from these guys.

I'm a daily reader of the Mac forum. QShartle was a regular (daily) poster until he got exiled to Japan a few months ago. It would have been nice if the decision as to the off-topicness of his "I'm back" post was left to the regular Mac forum moderators (who know who he is).Originally Posted by Capmaster

PS Welcome back Q!

There were no mac mods on at the time, and it seemed his post was more bragging about vandalizing a network and causing $4K damage than anything mac-specific.Originally Posted by thoughton

And should I wait for the OK from Lordsmurf to move an off-topic post out of the Media forum?

That's hardly a similar comparison and you know it :P There are plenty of mods out there that have never posted in the Mac forum, hence we don't know who they are, which makes it pretty weird when one appears out of the blue to 'fix' a problem we didn't know we hadOriginally Posted by Capmaster

My main point is that Mac forum is quite isolated from the rest of the board, if he had posted his "I'm back" post in the off-topic forum virtually none of the Mac forum regulars would have seen it.
Cheers,

Agreed. I made a mistake by moving the thread. Qshartle made a mistake by going on the offense the way he did. Everyone's spoken their mind so it's a dead horse. <yawn>Originally Posted by supreme2k
