Hello,
A lot of people on this forum seem to like science fiction so I thought this would be an interesting poll.

It's hard not to consider the likelihood, IMHO. -
Hello,
Thanks guys for writing. But did you see my third or fourth choice:
Yes - but not intelligent life
You two should have picked that one.
Kevin
P.S. I do believe intelligent extraterrestial life is possible. Are they here? Who knows (most likely not), but there are too many strange things in life to discount ALL possibilites.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Of course its possible.
In fact there are girls on Jupiter too.

Of course. As Capmaster already pointed out, it's almost a mathematical certainty.
-
I have no doubt that there is way more intelligent life than us in the universe. Probability alone.

Hello,
888888-no doubt that there is way more intelligent life than us in the universe
It sure seems like it sometimes, doesn't it?

And before you took your modern English interpretation as fact, I suppose that you studied the original Hewbrew and Greek versions and studied historical studies of the society at the time to put it into context??
Of course, in a rather nice survey a few years ago, less than 50% of American priests/ministers knew all 10 commandments and more than 70% of them believed in aliens as fact...
Sorry, pet gripe of mine... but the US is full of religious fundamentalist of a different kind.

For organisms with very short generation times (e.g., bacteria and viruses) you can see evolution working away easily. The fossil record is clear. Animals have changed in time.
Whether you believe in creation or not really has nothing to do with evolutionary theory. It's like dog-headedly believing the Earth is flat. Genesis simply tells us that the Christian God created the universe including man. That hardly mutually excludes evolution. If you want to believe, then you could believe that the Christian God created man through the mechanism of evolution... as many Christian biologists do.

Hello,
888888-I forgot what that is called but I believe that is what Newton, and other Enlightenment scientists and politicians believed in. Something about god being the great clock-maker I remember.
Kevin
P.S. Both sides have a point, who's right? We'll probably never know.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
C'mon guys. I'm new at this mod thing, but isn't this a discussion of religion?
