  1. Hello all,

I'm attempting to convert an avi file (encoded w/ huffyuv) to an SVCD-compliant format with tmpgenc 2.01.

The only unusual thing about the video is that the source was NTSC that was telecined, so I used vdub to convert it to the 24 fps format.

I'm using the tmpgenc NTSC film template and it's working great on some clips. Unfortunately, on some others, I'm completely losing the audio after a few minutes.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? (BTW.. AMD XP 1600+ processor w/ WinXP)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  2. In case anyone is monitoring this thread, here's an update on how I was able to work around the problem...

I used VDUB to split the audio out into a .wav file. Then, I used tmpgenc to re-encode to SVCD (NTSC Film). When I re-encoded from the two files, the problem seems to have gone away.

(Certianly not an ideal solution, but hey, it works.)
