  1. please help...

    i got a mkv file, when i play it i can view the subtitles

    but when i throw it in tempgnc and convert it to mpg the subtitles disappear...

    what am i doing wrong...

  2. Let me guess.....

    Your using Media Player Classic to view the MKV file.

    Media Player Classic has a built in subtitle filter that only functions in Media Player Classic.

    To view subtitles in Windows Media Player, or TMPGEnc (DirectShow), you'll need a DShow filter like VOBSub.

    It also helps to extract the sub from the MKV file and give it the same base name as your MKV file before you load it into TMPGEnc. (Just load the MKV file the same as before but have the sub in the same directory)
