  1. i open my file in TMPGEnc, but the audio does not show up. i open the file in GSPOT and this is what it said

    what does this mean? do i need a codec? if someone can send me the codec that would be great

    extract the audio to wav with virtualdub or avi2wav and use it as audio source in tmpgenc.

    i just tryed VirtualDub-1.5.10 and it said i dont have the right codecs. then it said make sure u have the microsoft audio codecs installed

    what should i do?

    Try AVIcodec. Under 'codecs and filters', check 'audio'. Down the list you should see, 0x0161 Windows Media Audio V2, Version 4.2.0 (or similar).

    I believe this is standard audio codec for windows. If you don't have it, you might check Microsoft and see if you can find it there.
