i hope this is the right forum to post this in...

i have a simple method i follow whenever i want to convert DVD -> AVI.
i rip the DVD with DVD Decrypter, then i convert to DivX .AVI with AutoGK and i get great results. occasionally i'll screw up a setting regards language or subtitles, but i usually get it right first shot. which is good, because it takes my 2gig P4 w/ 768MB of RAM about 4 hours per DVD

now, i have had a bit of trouble with 2 DVD's i bought the other day. one is a live concert and it has a feature called Ron-Cam. Ron-Cam is basically a 2nd camera angle, from Ron's (the singer) point of view. you can turn it on and off while watchiing the DVD whenever an icon appears in the bottom corner of the screen. that's great, BUT in my resulting DivX copy, the Ron-Cam causes the video to repeat every little segment of the video, from the Ron-Cam point of view. each segment being about 5 seconds at a time. make sense?

obviously, this results in a pretty shabby .avi file.

my question is, how the hell do i get rid of Ron-Cam in my .avi? will it be one of the .IFO files in the folder created by Decrypter? if so, how will i know which one to remove?

the 2nd DVD is a bunch of video clips, short clips from live gigs and so on. no big long movie file. just lots of smaller files... as seen here

but, when i use AutoGK to make that .avi file, it only puts a couple of the clips in the end result, not all of them. obviously, i would like all of the clips in the finished .avi

if anyone can help me with either or even both of these problems, i would be so very appreciative. please and thankyou in advance

    Hello,
Have you tried selecting angle one? I think dvd decrypter might let you do that. If not look around for a ripper that will. Also, try another dvd-avi encoder that has a batch encoder.

That's kind of mean-spirited. Just because one question doesn't get answered right away doesn't mean nobody wants to help. The people who read these posts only have so much time and can only answer posts they have experience with.

You should be able to strip out the second angle stuff on the DVD with DVDShrink.

    Hello,
Apology accepted. Remember not all posts can or will be answered. If people don't know or don't have time they won't answer. But it's nice to see you got some help (and apologized, always nice to show that you care). Hope to see you around the forum in the future
