    Is it possible to encode part of a video...say 30 seconds to 1:30?

    Is it possible to output video stills (JPG) say 1:30 in?

    Is it possible to combine files to create one?

    Command for allowing the best bitrate..highest quality..don't care about file size.

    Yup, MPEG Streamclip.
    ... and doesn't FfmpegX have a Join tool? ... or was it just Split...
