    Hey guys,

I'm in big trouble. I need to convert some dvd's and create new dvd's without the menus. (we are small production company that distribute Indy films for the internet). So i need to create the same dvd with our company's dvd menus.

I have copied the VIDEO_TS from all of the cd's, now i have couple of questions:

    1. How do i convert the VOBS or the entire VIDEO_TS folder to other video format without loosing the quality, should it be mpeg2?

    2. with what app it should be done? - i have many video_ts folders so i need batch option

    3. I'm using mac...

    Thank you guys,

    Yuval

Using MpegStreamclip with the $20 QT Mpeg-2 option, you can open the Video_TS folders inside of it,
and then demux the files back to it's elementary components ( either m1v and aiff or m1v and ac3 audio,
depending upon how you authored it in the first place).

No Batch option for this. It's load one at a time, demux, then close. Repeat as often.

No problem, but I have to ask, since you are the company producing the DVDs,
why not just go back to your authoring software, and re-author the discs
from that app, correcting the menus as necessary? Are you not the company
authoring the DVDs? Do you just produce the films? Why not just supply
the authoring company the assets for the menu you need done and have them do
it, if your not the company that authored the discs?

    Heyy Terryj,

    Thanks for the answers.

I just the online distributing company. Film makers send me movies on dvd's and i need the recreate new dvd's with our company's menus. Do you know what is the solution to that?

If I was in your position,
I would have the film companies submit to me the films on Data DVD-Rom
as Mpeg-2 files, and then author the DVDs in DVD Studio PRo,
using the ready to go mpeg-2 assets.

if not other choice then the MpegStreamclip option I mentioned
will get the video at the quality they provided to you for you to use,
and since your creating your company menus, you would use
whatever it is you are using to author those to create your dvd?
