I decided to create list in Excel that will give me all the information that I need. If you like to help me or add your DVD Recorder into list please post your data in format that will follow this post. It is separate so you can just "quote" it.

    - added "play" section since a lot of questions on this

Any info on the JVC DR-M1 ... specifically, is it PAL only? And are any other JVC NTSC players scheduled?

Add this list to the link:
    http://digitall.3web.cz/recorders_chart.htm

    Good site for PAL info.

    Hi,

The table at Czech web site listed all -R recorder using VBR and all +R recorder using CBR. Is that true? If so, is there anything to do with the picture quality? Thanks!
    Quote Quote
  19. Not true. Philips DVD+RW recorders use VBR recording.

    Quote Quote
  25. You should look at "Region" column to see if it is US or not version. Your is EU hence you can record only PAL. US version can record only NTSC. At the time when I entered data for 55, it was just news on the web and no real data were available. That is why it is not finished.
