    i would like to backup a movie i have on dvd to avi. (divx) format is there an easy mothod to do this and if so what kind of software would i use and a cookbook guide to it as well would be great ....any help would be great thanx

    i want it to fit on a 700mb cd

    AutoGK is a fairly easy program to use. I think theres some guides on the left about it.

    if u want an easy to use programs, use nero recode or intervideo dvd copy its not free though.
