Which one is the best firewire card under $100. Thanks for help.

Maybe someone else knows more about this than me, but aren't all IEEE 1394 PCI cards basically the same?
A $20 card should work as well as a $100 card. -
I don't know. I think I read somewhere that some particular chipset based cards are better than other. I am trying to avoid that confusion. Thanks

Well, the Texas Instruments chipset is the one that I've seen recommended in the past. Just about any firewire card that you find will be a Texas Instruments chipset, though, so that shouldn't be a big concern.
I bought a very cheap ($20) or so OEM PCI card and have never had a problem capturing from my DV camcorder. As long as my hard drive has space and is defragmented, I capture without dropping any frames.
