After running my MPGs through SVCD2DVD using AC3 or MP2 the sound is really low and I have to turn the tv up loud to hear the dialog and then back down when the music is on. It's not always done this and the sources are MPEG 2 with 44.1 sound that sound fine on cd or the computer. The sound only changes after SVCD2DVD. Any ideas?

Try normalizing the original audio stream before setting it in SVCD2DVD.
Use BesweetGUI.
here's a link about the subject.
