  1. Since I reformatted and reinstalled Win XP. Win PVR crashes frequently sometimes immediately after launching. On my previous install win pvr was rock stable and rarely if ever crashed. All the programs I have installed are the same altho the version of Nero 6 is newer. I have dx9 installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and use the older drivers and latest drivers without success. Any ideas? Help greatly appreciated. See my sig for hardware

  2. Did u download the latest PVR software (6/30/04 dated) from Leadtek? It said something about fixing Nero 6.0 bug. Mine was crashing for no reason but after this install, no more. However, have you experience system freezes when recording? I do and I can't figure it out. Watching TV is good but I can't use the the card to record.

  3. Yeah, I installed that version and it didn't work either. When it doesn't crash I do record without problems.

  4. Unninstall the Nero Burning ROM 6.3.1.17 (or 6.3.1.15).
And check the "Winfast PVR crashing " problem is gone or not.

The Nero Burning ROM problem solution:

First off, the new Nero .15 version installs two new decoders for QuickTime, both an audio and video decoder. They can be found in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\" the names of the two files are NeQTADec.ax and NeQTVDec.ax. I found that by renaming these files the problems with PVR disappear
