  6. I have used Womble Mpeg-VCR exclusively, and I have never had any problems

  7. I've got Womble MPEG Video Wizard and it's great. Womble is probably the best inexpensive MPEG editor. Might be overkill for just cutting out commercials, though. That's why I posted the free stuff, too.

  8. I record with a WinTV PVR 250, and use Wonble Mpeg-vcr to cut commericals. I never have any audio problems with it, and it's super fast!

  10. MPEG Video Wizard has a much nicer GUI than MPEG-VCR and can do more things. It is set up something like a typical editing program. Re-sizeable input and output windows, drag and drop file loading, intuitive user-friendly controls, text, transitions, filtering, etc.

Both Womble products work very well as frame-accurate editors, are lightning fast and do not re-encode your new .mpg (except right at the edit point or if you use filtering, transitions, etc.). No loss of quality. When you buy MVW, you get MPEG-VCR as a bonus.

I disagree on the Video Wizard being better than MPEG-VCR because the "cut-between" button is gone. It is harder to cut out sections in the middle of the footage.
