  1. I have six DivX files, each approximately 668 MB.

If you were me, how would you convert and burn them (to one DVD) so you could watch them on your DVD player.

I have TMPGEnc and Nero, and a DVD player which plays almost anything so I guess the options open to me are

Convert to Video-CD burn as DVD-ROM (ISO)

Convert to DVD burn as DVD-ROM (ISO)

Convert to DVD burn as DVD-Video

    How would you do it?

    Hello,
Check your total length. If its under 4.7gb convert to vcd and let tmpgenc dvd author convert it for you. It will be almost the same length as the vcd (plus a little extra for any menus). This would probably be the easiest. I'm sure there are other methods. Good luck.

It's the length of the video files that matter much more than the size. I doubt you'd get much more than 6 hrs at vcd resolution on one dvd without sacrificing a lot of quality.

If your standalone dvd player can play divx files, then you may just want to leave them alone, but try burning to a dvd-rw first so you can see if it will be able to play all six from the same dvd. I know next to nothing about playing divx files from cd/dvd on these players, but from what I've read from other postings, so others please elaborate on this.

I much prefer quality, so I convert my divx files to dvd resolution, and use 1 disk per movie.

    One man's opinon.
