Does Prodisc media work on the Plextor 712 ??

Hi! I'm an etailer looking to supply media for a customer that has the new Plextor 712 burner. I sent him Ritek dvd-r 8x Piodata but it fails when burning. His firmware is 1.03 I think. He is looking for something to burn solid at 8x too. He is currently using Maxell and Memorex 4x media successfully. His buddy has the Plextor 8x burner and has no problems with the Prodisc. Do you think the Prodisc will work fine on the 712 ?? Has anyone had any experience with this burner and Prodisc ?? It's certainally cheaper than the Maxell and Memorex. I should also add that the Piodata dvd-r disks work perfect on his buddies Plextor 8x so it is not a media problem but simply a compatibility issue related to firmware.
