  1. Best Buy's current ad has 50 packs of TDK CD-R's for $9.99. Does anyone know if these are CMC or not?

    Thanks

last time I got them they were CMC.

They are the first CD-R's I got that were not Sony (TY) and are also the only CD-Rs I've burn that have troubles being read some times. (put them in, the drive's led flashes for about a MINUTE, then goes out. Windows says Please Insert a Disc if I click on the drive. Pop the disk out then back in about 3 or 4 times, and it can be read...)

I still have most of that pack un-burned sitting on my shelf.[/quote]

  3. Bad CDs??
Good grief, I suppose you don't have problems like that with any other disks either? Just those?

Reason I may sound surprised is I buy the cheapest no name, brand name CDs I can get and truely never had any problem caused by a disk.
Buffer under run, computer problem, or something once or twice, never a disk though. I even have some see through disks! Ya, hold your hand behind it and see your hand through it, and not even holding it against a bright light either. They all work fine too. I think those were called optimum or something, $10 a hundred at big lots I think. Both sides silver, very hard to tell the record side. I don't trust those to last though because the see though effect, so audio back ups only on those like for in the jeep trail riding or pickup truck.

Only other problem I have had would be burning a 24x rated disk at around 40x and have a few snaps in the audio or skips. That happens with my good disks too burning a 16x at 24x or above sometimes though, so I don't do it much any more.
