Hi,
I have been trying to extract the AVSEQ01.MPG from any SVCD that I have got, but with no luck. They just seem to be heavily encrypted.
What I am trying to do is convert my SVCDs to DVDs, as I have just bought a dual layer DVD recorder, and want to fit as many of the files on a disc as possible.
I found this article, which suggests it may be very hard to do what I am attempting to do:
http://www.filmcentre.co.uk/dvd_2.html
can it be done? and if so, can someone help me out and tell me what I am doing wrong?
cheers,
Hinge

... try this : https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142742
it worked perfect for me (plays absolutely fine in my standalone - may not work in every standalone !?)
first you have to join your mpegs (if its a 2or3cd SVCD) or you can join the "tricked" DVD files later with DVDshrink
You can add chapters too (you have to make a "celltimes.txt" and load it in IFOEDIT) - theres a guide somewhere here !? forgot where
works perfect for me - without re-encoding ! and it only takes about 15 min. per movie
