  1. I backed up some films using dvd decrypter and dvd shrink and Ritek dvd+r 4x. They worked fine on both my Toshiba players, sd4900 and svc391. Then I backed up some dvd-r to the same media, Ritek 4x dvd+r, using only dvddecrypter. It plays on my 4900, but not on my 391.
Why would that happen? It must be either the burning process or the dvd-r that i am backing up.

It could be a bad piece of media. It could be...

Well, you're getting us a bit confused, for one thing, by using the term DVD-R to describe what you're burning, and then saying that you're using DVD+R media.

but at any rate, it's possible that DVD Decrypter just had a bad day, or perhaps that one of your players doesn't like DVD Decrypter's burns. It's tough to say.

Try it again, burn at a lower speed while not doing anything, see if that makes any difference.

Well, the media from which I copied is a dvd-r 4x speed . The media to which I copied is a dvd+r 4x speed.

I tried it again burning one at onex speed and it still didn't work on my vc391.

There's something the DVD player can't read as a result of burning from an ISO. Try a conventional file mode rip and burn with Nero or Deep Burner.

I often notice my software having bad days for no apparent reason
