Has anybody else come across this occasional annoyance when using this authoring software ??
Rip a DVD complete using DVDDecrypter
Import the DVD-Video into TMPGenc DVD Author
Let it scan and import the chapters
This works 99.9% of the time, but on the rare occasion I''ve had the chapters missed from the end of a DVD
Basically it stops importing them for some reason, and this leads to having not the whole movie, as there is a huge chunk missing due to not importing the rest of the movie
The movie is accepted by TMPGenc DVD Author, but when importing the same thing happens again and again, possibly very slightly different time, but roughly the same point
The last one I did was Gone in 60 Seconds (new remake)
I think this has only happened possiby 2 or 3 time, but with different movies
The only thing I can think of is the DVDDecrypter didn't rip is correctly (but it gave no errors), or that there is something weird on certain DVD's that confuse the ripping
Maybe try SmartRipper next time, but I prefer DVDDecrypter
I used DVD2One to trancode without a menu, no problems there, but I use
my own method to save my originals, and also I'm lazy and can't be bothered putting one movie per disc, I use 2 .... Just my personal choice
Any suggestions as to what happened
This authoring software is normally very reliable, not fantastic, but perfect for my needs at the moment
