  1. I want a DVD Recorder with component inputs and outputs, do they make them? Does anyone know of any?

How does recording work on a write once disc? Can I stop recording, then continue recording later where I left off on the same disc? Or does it finalize the disc once you stop recording? Is it the same on all models or does this vary from model to model?

Let's see. It took just 1 hour and 42 minutes waiting for a reply before you offer oral sex. If we wait longer what will you offer next?

Yes, until the disc is full.

Wouldn't that be a little difficult while you are servicing him orally?

I don't know all dvd recorders which is why I can't answer your first question about the availability of any that have component inputs as well as outputs. I think it would be silly for any DVR manufacturer to try to compete in the market with a recorder that only allows one burning session per DVD. Naturally, if you are using write-once media such as DVD-R you don't want to finalize the disc (you have to choose this; it doesn't happen automatically) if you plan to add more to it later. Re-writable discs can be erased and re-used even after they have been finalized. If you burn to rewritable media in VR mode you can actually erase titles and re-use that space without having to re-initialize the disc.

Try Philips/Magnavox, specifically the Philips DVDR-615 and the Magnavox MRV-64017.

  10. Component In/Out? Philips DVDR75! Also this machine records in PAL and NTSC.

Kind of an "old" model to be buying now, isn't it? Also, aren't the DVDR75 and DVDR72 virtually identical? I know WalMart is selling the 72 for around $229.

Personally, I'd go with the 615 since it's a newer model. Further, I'd get the extended warranty, protection plan, or whatever; after all, it is a Philips.

  12. So is Philips the only brand that makes dvd recorders with component inputs? Why is that? I have had a bad history with Philips brand electronics.

Philips/Magnavox models are the only recorders I've seen that have component inputs. No idea why that is the case.

Ditto. Hence the suggestion to get some sort of replacement plan if you decide to buy one of their products, regardless.

  14. That DRX2 looks interesting but what's with the pricing and availability?

I mean, I did a Yahoo! shopping-type search for it and only came up with a few vendors. Further, the prices were in the $600 range.
