I recently lost the ability to play DVD Audio (DTS 5.1 Surround Sound). My system consists of a 1.4ghz Athlon, 764meg DDR, with Audigy 2 ZS sound card running Win2000. The DVD Audio disc is recognized by the system and software with album and all song titles displayed. When attempting to play, I can see the DVD player attempt to access the selection. At that point all play functions stop. The DVD player will not read the DVD. This problem occurs when using either Creative Mediasource DVD Audio player or WinDVD 6 Platinum with Audio Booster. I suspect either a problem with WDM or a critical file was over written by one of the many applications I install and test. However, I'm unable to determine the exact cause or how to remedy without doing a full system reinstall. Email responses are welcome. My email address is sparks239436@comcast.net
