  1. For some reason, I am having a problem outputting digital 5.1 surround sound audio using Media Player Classic. When it is an AVI/DIVX file that has 6 channel audio, I have the AC3filter set up to use the SPDIF and 3/2+SW 5.1 channels. With that setup, I am able to get 5.1 sound though my audio receiver fine. Everything works great when playing a DVD also. The problem is when using MKV and WMV files. No matter what I try, they will not output in 5.1 sound - it appears that it only does 2 channel stereo and people's voices are missing. I'm sure its a simple configuration with the codec, but I cant figure it out.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

  2. Oh, nevermind. I finally figured it out. In ffdshow audio decoder, I clicked on Codecs, scrolled to the bottom to Uncompressed. Changed it to "all supported." It works now! Yea!
