the dvd-r or +r is jumping in all the players using shrink

Hi i am using the latest shrink 3.17 i use it to ripp some songs from concert dvds that i have to make a compilation of video clips, i do not need to make a menu all i need is to play all the songs one after other.
the result is when i play the dvd in many players like sony, pionneer'philips the track #6 or 7 till the will not play or it will play jumping or cutting but usually the first 5 tracks play well

That is a result of using cheap dvd/cd-r+ blanks use better media and the problem will go away...

thank you all for ur help i tried to record on samsung 2 speed it worked fine on some dvd ,but not on the others. i have an all in wonder ATI vga sombody said tha when creating video cd or dvd video if ur vga is not good you may face such problems, so what do u think guys , should i dissable the ATI and work with the vga that comes with the intel motherboard 850

Vga has nothing to do with burning,its mainly the media,dvd burner,burning software,ide problems,fragged harddrive,viruses that will affect dvd burns.

I had the same problem as you, changed to a more expensive media (Verbatim) and I've not had a problem since using DVD Shrink

If you can get Ritek, use Ritek. Otherwise... just use a BIG name brand. But that's not always reliable. Imation works well for me, but we had a guy in here just yesterday with Imation trouble. HP is usually good, but the latest spindle I got was all CMC dye. Verbatim is usually good, but a bunch of people got bad spindles from Best Buy using CMC dye.

It's tough to tell unless the disc manufacturer ALSO makes the dye... i.e. Ritek.

Samsung may not be the best, but its for sure better than Ritek. I never had a Ritek verify after burn at 4x.

You are in the minority then. Most of us swear by Ritek - well, by Ritek's GOOD stuff anyway. I've never used the cheap Riteks.

Possible gurm, but BeAll in Samsungs media is considered higher quality, and cost less than riteks, they only fail 50/50 at 4x in my shitty burner, G04 fails every time. The Riteks i tried were Clas Ohlsons Traxdata, -R G04, cost NOK 400 for 25, Samsung/BeAll is NOK 450 for 50. Easy choice, almost half price and better in my burner. Btw, Samsung +R is same price and never failed to verify at 4x, code is BeAll000-P40-00 (an admin at cd-freaks.com said those were TY, i bought from the same store and no TY, kinda suspected that considered the low price). Well, i expect all my -R problems to end when i buy a 107D, but at least i know the samsungs are much better at half price anyway
Are you in Sweden Gurm? Can you buy other G04s than Traxdata there now?

Seems people are getting less and less happy with riteks, the G04 will be forgotten, lets hope for a good replacement, at least something that works better for me .
The Sweden-thing came from that IMG in your signature, i noticed its from the member section of spray.se, found it to be a bit strange that a non Scandinavian would be member there, as its most likely is in Swedish language only.
