You can create a series of menus with text on them. Then you can put a NEXT and a BACK button on the bottom to link to each menu.

Most DVD Authoring apps should be able to do this. DVD-Lab will do up to 99 menus.

In that case, you'll have to make a video of the scrolling text then import it as a motion menu. Any good video editor should be able to do that.

  5. in fact my idea is having an up and down arrow button to control the scrolling text

I don´t know if creating that video with the scrolling text the button thing can be done... and, I want to do that in several menu pages, so creating a video for each one can be a long work

That would be imposible due to DVD specs. The best you can do would be to hit the pause button to pause the text.

  8. What about using the switched menus concept with a motion menu?

You might want to try this. I'll assume that you have 3 lines of text that you want to scroll.

    1) Create 3 motion menus, one for each of the sets of scrolling text.
    2) Use the DVD-Lab Switched menu function. See the MediaChance website for a tutorial on switched menus if you are not familiar.
    3) Link one would be scrolling text 1, when you pressed down, menu 2 with scrolling text 2 would load and run, repeat with the third menu.
