  1. G'day everyone,
I'm using OS 9 & OSX with Apple's DVD Player, what i want to ask is how can i take a snapshot of the movie picture without it playing games with me, what happens is if i use Command shift 3 or 4 then it takes the snapshot okay, but if I quit the program or whatever there is no picture but i can see my computer's desktop, if i load the CD and open the DVD program i can see the picture there looks like its playing games against me. Really I need this picture (as I have edited home film on the DVD and I want take a photo and put it on the cover of the DVD case - not these DVD movies)

I did it at my friend's place with their PowerDVD and it works, but I am not going to rely my friend to use their computer as I want to do it on my Macintosh.

Whats the best way to capture the screen without it playing games with me?????
A program name that can do it please tell me.

    thanks
    Alpine

    Good Morning!
This has been stated several times before, here in the forum.
A quick search for "Capturing" or "Screen shot"
would have revealed the following choices:

    1. Snapz Pro X ( shareware, available at Version tracker)
    2. Capture ME ( freeware, available at Version tracker, my personal favorite )

Each are simple to use and get the job done without playing games.
With Capture ME, you get to place a window over the open
DVD Player window, sized accordingly, and as your picture you
want shows on screen, you click once in the Capture ME
window, and you have your picture.
You can then save it as .jpg, .tiff, or .pict.

    hope this helps!

SnapzPro is my favorite. It will do everything picture wise but it can also take video clips of screen motion [including the dvd you are watching] with sound!

it also does all the picture options as well, but it is shareware
