  1. Hello, I have a Mpeg1 (VCD) movie file on my computer that I cant open, windows media player says it can not access it, and also if I try to delete it, it also says that it access is denied. The file is the rite size. I have tried multiple players, reg scan, safe mode, reboots

    Ahhhhhh..this is easy, simply REPOST and say you have a paying customer waiting for their pc to be fixed..instantly you will get 10,000 replies!

    Of course as a NORMAL USER YOU WILL NOT GET HELP.........thats why you have waited two weeks....................

    (try using VLC, videolan).

    Anyone want to reply???????????

    That's what a courtesy bump is for. You wait a few days, like the rules of the forum suggest, before you respond to your own post. And since SteveX2 didn't post anything relevant to the actual file itself, it's kinda hard to just magically say, "I can tell you exactly what's wrong with your VideoCD file. Let me commence a telepathic link with your Windows OS through Mr. Gates' trusty teletransporter and I'll have your answer faster than I cap pop the cap on my bottle of vodka."

    Anyway...

    Sounds similar to trying to play a movie file whilst still downloading it. i.e. the file is open & currently in use by another program & hence locked out.
    This is why you cannot play it. This is why you cannot delete it.

    So, are you trying to play it whilst downloading it or is another app using it?

    If in doubt restart your PC & try again.
