You sure iMovie can't import it? Is it .mov or .dv? You could always break it up into <9min28sec19/30frames segments with QT PRo, importing into iMovie, and putting them back together.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
i already said that i converted that into dv!!!!!
u cant import into i movie huge files of dv (like or 5 giga or something like that).
how can i do that in quick time??
i need something that can split it in 1 giga per track -
Have you tried Avid Free DV?
If you'll spend money Final Cut will do this as well. -
iMovie has 2Gb file limit...Check this site:
http://danslagle.dvmix.com/mac/iMovie/
There You can find script which will split Your DV movies to 2Gb automaticaly... -
In QT, just select chunks <9min28sec and cut and paste them into their own movie files, and save as self-contained. Then you can import the chunks into iMovie.
