  1. hi,

    i converted a vob file into dv in order to import that in imovie!

    i realized that the dv file was huge and that i could't import that in imovie!!

    what should i do???? is there an applicaiton that i can separate the dv file into different tracks with less Megabyte in order to able to import that in the imovie??

    You sure iMovie can't import it? Is it .mov or .dv? You could always break it up into <9min28sec19/30frames segments with QT PRo, importing into iMovie, and putting them back together.

  3. i already said that i converted that into dv!!!!!

    u cant import into i movie huge files of dv (like or 5 giga or something like that).

    how can i do that in quick time??

    i need something that can split it in 1 giga per track

    Have you tried Avid Free DV?

    If you'll spend money Final Cut will do this as well.

  5. iMovie has 2Gb file limit...Check this site:

    There You can find script which will split Your DV movies to 2Gb automaticaly...

    In QT, just select chunks <9min28sec and cut and paste them into their own movie files, and save as self-contained. Then you can import the chunks into iMovie.
