Hi, I've been using DVD Shrink for sometime.. and its best at what it does.. but I just noticed that when I burn a movie that starts at 2hrs. and over.. when I insert it in to the dvd player.. It will play but like after chaper 12 or towards the end it wont play no more.. it does this on paycheck.. and on the last samurai.. it wont play like paycheck.. In Paycheck I took out everything except the 5.1 audio.. and that leaves me to like 78% or 85%.. the same for the last samurai I took out everything and left the 5.1 audio english language..I use DVD Decrypter to burn them.. What could it be?
It cant be my dvd player, cuz I tested it on my friends and my cousins.. I have the green bar on dvd shrink... I use Great Quality Media.. and Imation..Could It be Dvd Shirnk 3.17.. so I need to switch to 3.05 as I heard its more stable???

  2. I only experienced pixelation with DVD Shrink 3.1.7.6 - playback was unaffected. My discs played to the end with no stutter or stopping. Only the video quality was compromised by pixelation. I would describe it as moderate and intermittent. Haven't experienced any pixelation issues (unless extreme compression) with 3.05b, only subtitle bug. Don't know if this helps or not...

  3. I backed up my copy of Last Samurai and watched it through the other day. (Used a Ritek G04 DVD-R disc.) I used DVD Shrink 3.1.5. It looked and played great, all the way through the ending credits. Couldn't notice any grainy images. Didn't backup any menus, just the AC3 2-channel and 5.1 channel sound.

Post the media code from those discs you're using by with dvdinfo pro or with dvd identifier. Then we'll know what the exact media code and who the manufacturer is. If I'm not mistaken some IMATION discs are not the greatest to use. You can check lordsmurf's site www.nomorecoasters.com for more info on dvd media.

You mentioned you use DVD DECRYPTER to burn. Then you're creating a ISO image to burn them. You can try using IMG TOOL BURN to burn dvds but you must have NERO burn software on your pc. Here's the download for IMG TOOL BURN, it's in the middle of the webpage, download according to the version of NERO burn you have, which in your case I don't know if you have it or not.

sounds as though it could be a layer change bug. id try ripping the whole disc to HDD (use file mode in dvddecrypter and select everything) and then run shrink on that. and test the files before i burn.
