You're gonna struggle if you wish to backup the entire contents of both discs, place them onto 1 DVDR and have it playable in a DVD Player. For starters, you'll only be able to keep one side's menus. It is not just as easy as making a menu that links to each side's menu.

If you only want the main movie that is split over the two discs, we can work something out. What are you trying to achieve ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

I did this with one of mine. I ripped both sides with DVDshrink and went into reauthor mode. Then just added both main movies and had it write both to one disc image, then wrote it to a blank. It was a concert film. One strange thing I noticed was that I could only chapter advance to the last one of the first side. If I played through it, it went directly to the first chapter of the second side. They I could chapter advance through the rest, but not go back to the first sides.

Yeah, I want to back-up my DVD Amadeus but it has 2 sides Since I have the original and it's not really one of my favorite movies, I really don't care much about the quality as long as I can get it to fit onto 1 blank DVD.

What would be the best way of doing this - Remember, I ONLY want to keep the actual movie itself, NOT the special features, menus, etc.

I guess I could do what the above post says and Rip (with DVD Shrink) each side of the Amadeus DVD onto my HD... my question is what would it be saved as on my HD? - What kind of file??? Can I control this and what kind of file should it be (each side of the Ripped DVD)???

After doing this I guess I could then Re-Auth the both sides of the ripped DVD into a Disc Image file (again with DVD Shrink) and finally burn it to a blank DVD+R with DVD Decryptor... I just want a little more direction with this and help with these procedues if possible.

    Thanks
