  1. Hello
can someone explain me the diferences between make a dvd with a wav file or a ac3 file?
i have captured a avi and now after i edited with premiere i'm frameserving it to cce. why not use to endcode the audio? because the result will be worst, ok i understand that. but it's better export the audio from premiere to wav and then convert the wav to ac3? can someone please explain me better this thing?

also whats the diference between encode with cce with multipass vbr (use existing file) and (create new file). Whats the diferences between this 2 options?

sorry about my questions.. maybe they are too obvious and i just don't get it.
    Thanks

Have a look at this thread. I have just started to convert to ac3 and it may give you an idea about it.

Very basically wav is approx 10MB/min so 100min movie would have a wav audio of 1GB
ac3 for 100 min depending on the bitrate used could be around 200MB

This means a lot more room on the disc for video ie higher bitrate so better quality without a loss of audio quality.

can't help with the cce thing.

From what i know of cce vbr uses the existing file for multipass and cbr creates a new val file, its better to stick with 3 pass vbr in cce.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
