OK.
I have some folders on my desktop and I can not remember what came from what. I made them about 2 months ago, got a bit sick and then moved house. I can't find the notes about what I did and what files are for what so ... PLEASE can someone out there help me.
I have used fourtytwo (dvd-svcd), dvd backup and DVD2OneX (DVD-DVD) and have toast for burning.
I know that for the DVD copy I wanted movie only.
I think I didn't do the right settings for the copy to be SVCD on one disc.
The folders are:
1) MOVIE_NAME, size 3.84GB and contains 2 folders - an empty AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS which has 8 items (vob,ifo and bup)
2) movie, which contains a .img. When mounted it contains exactly the same as the above folder and is the same size also.
3) VIDEO_TS, size 6.59 GB and which contains 61 items.
4) MOVIE NAME, 4.2GB, contains .mpg, .mp2, .mpv and folder MOVIE_NAME-BurnWhatsInHere size 1.42GB.
Folders 1 - 3 are for the same movie and folder 4 is obviously different and is the one that was supposed to be SVCD on single CD!! Well .... first attempt![]()
I have not burned with Toast but I know that I opened it up and was trying to see how it worked - remember I placed a folder in the window - never hit the burn button ... is that where the .img folder has come from?
I am soto find myself in such a disorganized mess and rather than publically displaying my MESS even thought about trashing the lot and starting again
But then I remember that it took ages ... so here I am.
Please Aunt Mac Video Forum, can you help me??

For #4, SVCD is pretty much always on 2 CDs per movie. in the '-burn what's in here' folder, there should be CD images ready to burn. As for #1-3, what's your question, exactly? The sticky at the top of the forum says how to burn with Toast. Preview the VIDEO_TS folders with DVD Player, make sure they're what you want, and burn them to Toast. For the 6.59GB one, you'll have to use DVD2OneX to shrink it down, if you haven't already.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
