Does anyone know how to alter a DVD with DTS-ES / DD-EX Matrixed soundtrack,
So it enables the ES/EX Matrix mode on the surround amp automatically.
i.e. I'm trying to make a back-up of my original of PETER PAN 2003, it has and EX/ES (6.1) soundtrack but to hear it you have to select it manually on the Amp!
I have IfoEdit would that allow me to change it?

Does your original version cause the amp to switch automatically ?
Does you amp support autodetecting of the audio modes ?
Are you doing a full copy of your original, or reauthoring it ? -
I'm reauthoring the original, my amp auto switches on some ex/es matrixed material, but the this DVD doesnt switch the amp ..same with Star Wars I/II

It may well be a code embedded in the audio track itself. I know that the Vegas AC3 encoder supports DD-EX, but you have to enable it in the options before encoding. I don't believe it is a switch set on the DVD itself in the same way that 16:9 can be set.
The only option I can think of would be to demux the audio track, load it into something that can read the seperate AC3 channels, and reencode with the EX switch set. I doubt any of the free tools can do this.
I now leave my amp on EX/ES by default, so it doesn't matter whether the source switches or not.
