    I have been burning DVDs with verbetim discs and haven't had any problem at all. I then installed the newest directx from microsoft; I then started getting incomplete burns with bad sectors using recordnowmax. After that I did a system restore to a time before I installed directx 9 ;then started to get perfect burns again!!! my question is does directx have anything to do with DVD burning?

    not that I am aware of. It has to do with gaming. I have had direct x 9 for awhile and never had a problem.
