    So the prob i've got is that the text is now weird shapes- triangles/sqaures ect, and this includes on menus and on windows. But why is this?
    Can any one suggest anything that i could do to get it back to normal?
    Any suggestions appreciated!

    Could be a lot more complex than this but I would start with video drivers. Deleting the video card and rebooting so Windows can re-detect it would be an easy first try. Uninstalling the video drivers from add/remove programs and letting Windows revert to "standard MS" drivers. If it clears up then you know you're fighting a driver problem.

    Have you done any upgrades lately ?. Hardware / software. Does it happen in every application or just Windows.
