  1. I have used Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 almost exclusively up til now and I have found (on 2 different computers) that everything seems to work decent when you keep the length of the DVD under an hour, but as soon as you approach an hour and a half or 2 hour DVD's the video jerks, slurs, and just plain locks up when you reach a certain point in the disc.
It's like when I try to make longer DVD's the laser in the player has difficulty scanning the disc. It's a mystery to me why this happens only in certain parts of the disc. By the way, I checked all my Mpg's before burning the disc and there are no jerks or slurs. I also make sure that I only burn at 1x.
I really want to transfer my home movies over to DVD with out having to limit them to an hour. It seems like a waste of discs and shelf space and for that matter, printer ink(for the labels). Have any of you had these problems with Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 as well?
    Thanks Travis

  2. I'll start by saying movie factory 2 does simple things ok, but it really at the bottom end of the software these days, so results may look that way as well.
    Change your bitrate settings -
High quality - which is the default, is set at 8000kps which in this case is rated as 60min of dvd.....which sounds kind of like what you were mentioning.

You get to this by pressing the "tick" box which is located at the bottom of the screen.

Read some guides on this as it is pretty straight forward software with a few quirks, like the non compliant check box as an example.

sorry if ive missed the point
The only difference between right and wrong is gender........
