Greetings,
Would anyone know if there is a 2 GB file size limit (on mac or windows) when working with either .aiff or .wav files?
Thanks for your replies!

I think AIFF and WAV formats don't have any problem with being over 2GB, as long as your filesystem supports it (FAT32, NTFS, HFS+, and UFS all do). However, some software won't be able to read or write files (of any type) over 2GB.

Fat32 has a 4GB file limit (or any file). The M$ avi format has a 2GB limit, however most programs (even on fat32 systems) can open/rean/generate avi files lager than 2GB.
If you're NTFS then it doesn't matter (NTFS has a file size limt too, I forget what it is, 4TB or something IIRC). -
16TB, thanks I'll try to remember that. I can't wait for the day when 16TB is considered a small file size

goldwave and tmpgenc will not touch a dvd2avi file that is over 2gb (this is windows xp pro ntfs)
winamp plays it fine but neither of the above two program will touch it.
can anyone suggest a good converter so I can convert this file to anything under 2gb that tmpgenc is able to read ?
