  1. Was using dvd decrypter and dvd2one and getting good copies. Tried install anydvd and intervid copydvd and now will burn (no change media) and play on standalone, but won't play on pc with either drive with windvd platinum (was working). the original dvd will play, not the new burned one.
What happened? using win2000 pro. Gives 'none valid media' message in windvd. again same dvd plays in standalone.

  3. Yea,
I guess that makes sense. After researching for best quality copies, it looks like intervid copydvd was what I wanted to use. anydvd made it possible to not have to first copy to hd with decrypter and than copy in 2nd step. Any other programs that can do this (allow copy with on the fly decopycontrol?)
I did find one interesting thing. Besides not reading the dvdr it just wrote, windvd won't play from the hd dvd folder either. However, if I take the dvd folder that wont play on windvd and write it to a nero image, I can load it on alcohol's virtual drive and it will than play great. What's that about?

I don't know. I have never used alcohol. I have used nti cd maker 6 platinum, and had settled on nero. I am now a firm believer in nero. Nero has a virtual drive app. as well.
