I have burnt my own DVD from a Xvid file using both R and +RW formats. In my Ronin player, dark scenes freeze on playback and are unwatchable. However, in another player the video plays back without fault (and also OK on my computer). The sound is not affected and continues playing as the picture freezes and then jumps forward into sync.
Commercially produced DVD's play ok of course.
I originally thought this was all due to using RW disks but I have since found the fault is on DVD R as well. BTW, I'm using Ritec 4x DVD-R. Any thoughts on what can be the cause or cure of this problem?
