    Hello!
I've had A LOT of trouble trying to convert my DVD...

    First, i tried with flaskmpeg:
    the most recent version,
installed all the needed codecs:divx, radium mp3 coden,
    avisynth..
    - Then i followed an "instruction" to "rip" DVD..
results: 1.st try: I got a file that was VERY small, with no sound
    no picture
Second atempt: I get a HUGE avi file, that cant be played.
And all the other times, i get the same, very bad result.
After 2 tries, i give up the most recent flaskmpeg, and try an old one.
But that doesnt work any better......
Unreadable video every time, without sound.
    - What selections should i do to get a HQ divx file, with txt, sound
    and really bright picture?

Ripitall: About all atempts ended without sound nor video (using the new divx codec),
but one attempt (using the old divx codec), ended with sound, video
and txt, BUT, with bad quality on video and sound, and
it ONLY did the first vob file, even i selected all of them
    - What selections should i do to get a HQ divx file, with txt, sound
    and really bright picture?

    DvdX:
    Followed the guide at http://www.vcdhelp.com
-first error: "Auth.dll -cant authentiactive drive, disk may be not locked".
Second error: The encoding doesnt start: It stops at the Premiere Video Server Plugin windown...
    It server wont connect...
I can not do anything but push stop...
    - What selections should i do to get a HQ divx VCD/SVCD/XVCD fiel, with txt, sound
    and really bright picture?

    Dvd2avi:
    The encoding wouldnt even start....
    Help me!!!

Easydivx: On my first try, i got video with no sound.
On second time: An error in the middle of the video (selected the
    most recent video codec)
third try: I still cant get the sound on..
what am i supposed to do to get the sound working with easydivx?
    It's supposed to be easy,right?
Last try: I get throught the whole video, using the old divx codec,
the quality is not really good.
-result: I am fairly happy, cause I got at least throught the video.
    - What selections should i do to get a HQ divx file, with txt, sound
    and really bright picture?

    Audio problems:
Then, I have one more problem:
What to do to get audio?
I try to rip the audio from the vob files using flaskmpeg "extract to wav".
that works, but a new problem occurs:
The audio is shorter than the video, and both files are longer
than the video itself at the original dvd!
The dvd is 1:19:29 long, the audio file i got was
1:19:31, and the video file was 1:19:38 !!!
    What should i do??!?!
I came out of ideas here... I REALLY dont know what to do.

ANYONE, please give me your help, and urls with GOOD guides,
that solves all the problems i have, or at least some.

    Thank you very much,
    Sangofe.

  2. There both guides here and at doom9's site: http://www.doom9.net

Doom9's site probably has the most comprehensive guides on DVD ripping anywhere.
