    Hey guys I just downloaded Shrek SVCD DVD RIP TCS, and im having trouble playing it on my Pioneer DV 444. I know it can play SVCDS, because ive tried it before. I can play the movie on my computer dvd player fine but when i put it into the dvd player, I get sound for about 5 seconds but no picture. Then I dont get sound or picture its just a black screen. Anybody know how i could fix this? Maybe the bitrate is too high? If it is can someone tell me how i can fix that and convert back to SVCD. Thanks for any help

    I just downloaded SVCD NTSC Sample from this site. And I couldnt play it. The menu came up when i pressed the buttons, I heard sound then nothing after that. Is it my dvd player??

    I have the same problem. I think it is the bitrate. I think max is 2500.
