    Hello,

I have downloaded a couple of AVI files off the net which have been ripped from a DVD. My problem is the AVI's have the dvd commentary on them, as well as the normal audio (quieter)

I've tried moving the balance from left to right in WMP but it doesnt change the audio.

Is there a possibility I can stop the audio commentary while keeping the regualr audio channels?

    Thanks

    Rob

Load the video into Gold Wave and see if the commentary is on both channels. Your system may be mixing both channels before playing them, making adjusting the balance futile.

    Thanks for the reply

I've done that and for some reason both audio channels are playing the file without audio commentary, I suppose this means there are more than 2 audio channels on the file.

But how do I control (from within WMP) which audio channels play? Or other software if required.

    Thanks

    Also worth mentioning.

I've loaded the file through AVICodec, and it is saying I have 2 audio streams,

    1. Audio : 19.76 MB, 128 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MP3 encoder, Supported

    2. Audio : 12.34 MB, 80 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MP3 encoder, Supported

    Any ideas?
