The 9700 Pro should come with MMC 8 but I think will be an early level of verison 8.

I see some are having problems with v8.9 so after I install from the CD what is the best level to update to for function and stablility?

    Thanks.

ATI MMC 8.7 is most stable. ATI MMC 8.9 is worth it, but be prepared for a pain in the butt.

Just looked and ATI apparently just posted MMC 9.0

Hopefully they fixed the problems with 8.9

By the way what is the DAO/MDAC and do I need it for Video Capture and TV Viewing?

    Thanks.

Get with the program sport. It was released over the past 24 hours. I've been playing with it for a few weeks. Nice improvement. Not a perfect fix but it addresses alot of concerns.
